Dr. Suzi Bentley is the inaugural Chief Wellness Officer for New York City Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, Director of Simulation Innovation and Research for New York City Health + Hospitals, and Professor of Emergency Medicine and Medical Education at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She has served in many professional roles, from Residency Program Site Director to Medical Director of the hospital wide Simulation Center that she helped open at Elmhurst. She credits her passion for and expertise in debriefing as the unifier in her professional roles. She led the initiation of their comprehensive peer support program, Helping Healers Heal, at Elmhurst in 2017 and has had the honor and privilege of serving as Chief Wellness Officer since 2021.
