The Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare is closely monitoring the developing coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and any potential impact it might have on the 2020 Compassion in Action Healthcare Conference in June. Please check back here for any updates in the coming days. We stand with our members and all caregivers during this challenging time.
In light of the COVID-19 virus, cancellation fees for individuals will be waived this year. If travel restrictions are a concern, you may consider choosing the “Invoice Me” option at check-out.
We are following guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as state and local authorities. Our decisions and planning around the event will be with your safety and well-being in mind.
If you have any questions, please contact us at email@example.com.
The conference is focused on organizational compassion: how we make it a part of culture and supported by systems.
Our partners are the American Hospital Association, the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the AHA Physician Alliance, the Daisy Foundation, and the Greater New York Hospital Association.
The conference has international representation and is targeted at anyone who is working to advance compassionate culture in their healthcare organization. Examples include healthcare system leaders, educators, quality and safety professionals, risk managers, human resources professionals, policy and public health representatives, ethics committee members, nurse managers, chaplains, clinicians involved in direct patient care and others.
A wide range of topics will be covered, but all relate to how compassionate care can support goals like workforce well-being, patient experience, safety, quality and innovation.
