Dr. Shellie Williams is an assistant professor of medicine in the Section of Geriatrics and Palliative medicine at The University of Chicago hospitals and clinics. She practices both Geriatric Medicine and Palliative Medicine in the hospital, clinic, nursing home and home settings. Her primary areas of interest are cognitive assessment and behavioral management of individuals living with dementia, palliative care/EOL communication and long-term care of frail and cognitively impaired. She is a clinical educator within Pritzker School of Medicine with a focus on geriatric skills development, palliative communication, and simulated patient experiential design. She is an international medical educator and speaker, member of University of Chicago Academy of Distinguished Medical Educators, and former National Alzheimer’s Association Board of Directors.
