Sarah Smithson, MD, MPH

Sarah is a primary care physician at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. She serves as the Assistant Dean for Clinical Education at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and Director of Relational Leadership @Carolina. Sarah earned degrees in medicine and public health from Emory University before completing Internal Medicine residency training at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. Sarah thrives in interprofessional collaborations around leadership development and innovation in health systems, communication, and team-based care delivery. Sarah lives in Hillsborough, NC, and loves spending time with her husband and two sons.
