Pediatric Staff Chaplain, UK HealthCare

Rev. Christine Grandin Ross, M.Div., BCC is an ordained United Methodist minister and Board Certified Chaplain currently serving as the Pediatric Chaplain in Kentucky Children’s Hospital which is part of the University of Kentucky HealthCare system in Lexington, Kentucky. Her passion is caring for caregivers. She worked weekend and evening shifts covering every area of the hospital for her first six years at UKHC before moving to Pediatrics seven years ago. Christine received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University in Indiana and a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. All of her training in Clinical Pastoral Education was completed at the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Medical Center. Christine’s first career was as a Facilities Engineer for the former Naval Avionics Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Christine met her husband Cliff at work when he was a Navy Officer. They lived in several fun places like Rota, Spain, San Diego and Monterey, California, and Tampa, Florida before Cliff left active duty and they settled in Danville, Kentucky. Christine and Cliff have three grown sons and one daughter-in-law. Cliff is also an engineer who is retired from the Navy Reserves and from Corning, Inc.  They enjoy travelling and spending time with their family.
