Narrative Competency Lead, Say Ah!

Oluwatomisin Sontan, MS, is the Narrative Competency Lead at Say Ah!, where she designs and conducts narrative competency and narrative advocacy workshops for our clients and community health members, equipping them with the tools to tell their own stories. She is a lecturer at Columbia University in the Narrative Medicine Graduate Program. An alumna of the program herself, Tomi is dedicated to honoring the stories of patients, whose voices are often silenced in the clinical encounter. With a background in comparative literature, black sociology, and bioethics, Tomi uses storytelling to inspire interdisciplinary discussions that inform policy and facilitate health justice and health equity.
