Nicolas Nguyen graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA). He joined the core residency faculty at CHA, and was appointed Director of Inpatient Teaching. In 2013, he joined Beth Israel Deaconess HealthCare (BIDHC) and was named Family Medicine Site Medical Director in Brookline. He was selected for the Linde Fellowship in Primary Care Leadership in 2016 at BIDMC. At the same time, he was named Director of Physician Experience for BIDHC, and was subsequently appointed Senior Medical Director of Clinician Recruitment, Development, and Experience, a position he continues to hold at this time. Nguyen is an elected member of the Provider Advisory Board, a clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School and Tufts School of Medicine, and a former Editor-in-Chief of American Scientific Family Medicine. He has published and has been invited to speak across the country on physician experience and burnout, most recently at the Care Transformation Collaborative and at the Aspen Ideas Festival: Spotlight on Health. He maintains a full patient panel in his current family medicine practice.
