Patient Safety Specialist, Massachusetts General Hospital

Lisa works as a Patient Safety Specialist in the Center for Quality and Safety at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) where she addresses safety and quality issues across the hospital. Lisa is the lead of the MGH Peer Support program, and helped to launch the fast-tracked program at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. She co-authored the article “Supporting Caregivers During COVID-19” in the American Association of Nurse Anesthetist Journal in February 2021. Prior to this role, Lisa worked as a Senior Analyst at an electronic health record (EHR) vendor, where she facilitated EHR optimization for clients. Lisa previously acted as Director of Clinical Operations in an ambulatory clinic, during which she managed the clinical and administrative office operations. She was previously a staff nurse in the Cardiac Surgery ICU at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Lisa studied at Columbia University School of Nursing to receive her BSN, and Queens College to receive her BA in Neuroscience and Psychology.
