Laura Romeo Sobel is the Volunteer Services Manager at White Plains Hospital where she assists with overseeing the Volunteer Program, Information Desk, Mask Distribution Team, and the Gift Shop. She also provides support to the Caregiver Support Program and Care Code Team. Prior to her role at WPH, she served as a Certified Child Life Specialist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital helping infants, children, youth and families cope with the stress and uncertainty of acute/chronic illnesses, trauma, disability, loss and bereavement. She received her Master’s Degree in Child Life from Bank Street College of Education and Bachelor’s Degree from Cornell University-College of Human Ecology in Human Biology, Health, and Society. She is also a Resolve Through Sharing® Coordinator, Certified Infant Massage Instructor, and Certified Zumba instructor.
