Jordanna Monteiro received an MPH in Epidemiology and Bioethics/Human Rights from Boston University in 2017. She became a researcher at Boston Medical Center/BUSPH in the Clinical Addiction Research and Education team, and Department of Health Law Policy and Management, respectively. Her experiences working with people with substance abuse disorders in hospitals, prisons, and civil commitment facilities fueled her interest in healthcare equity. She has been able to continue to explore her passion for improving behavioral health outcomes in underserved populations at Mass General Brigham, where she currently works as a data analyst for behavioral health programs.
