Jennifer Richards is a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) currently working at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County Substance Use Disorder program as well as volunteering with the Helping Healers Heal initiative for emotional and psychological support for staff members.

As a drama therapist, Jennifer has been exploring a variety of ways to engage clients as well as staff with new roles. Recognizing that the clients she works with are challenged with the disease of addiction and the staff are facing burn-out, Jennifer provides support the clients and staff she works with to re-awakening dormant roles within their role repertoires. Areas that are re-awakened include art, music and thespian. With the use of the new roles the clients and staff are able to learn coping tools and gain inner peace.
