Beba Tata-Mbeng, MDiv, MPH, BCC

Beba has been a member of the Mayo Clinic staff since 2015. Currently, she serves Manager of Spiritual Care at Mayo Clinic Florida. Beba earned her Masters in Divinity at the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, California and a Master of Patient Counseling at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Beba completed Chaplaincy residencies from St. Elizabeth Psychiatric Hospital in Washington, DC and at Virginia Commonwealth University. While earning her MPH in Community Health Promotion at the University of Minnesota, Beba explored the religious and non-religious resources that patients with cancer use to cope. Her research interests include Spiritual care at end-of-life, giving voice to and developing spiritual legacy documents for patients with serious illnesses, exploring the role of interdisciplinary teams in providing care to patients in serious/chronic illness and employee well-being with Schwartz Rounds as one of its core components. In her spare time Beba enjoys dancing, cooking, walking.
