Instructional Designer, Henry Ford Health System
Anastasia Mortimore is currently an Educational Designer for Henry Ford Health System. In this capacity, she facilitates the delivery, coordination, and assessment of educational activities that support medical education programming for over 50 accredited residency and fellowship programs. She participates in programming and research associated with the HFHS Center for Simulation, designs institution-wide learning events, and manages complex projects to improve educational practice, quality of care and patient safety. Anastasia is fully committed to building healthy communities at Henry Ford where all people are motivated to learn and lead in medical education.
Anastasia earned an Educational Specialist degree from Oakland University and Masters in Education from Wayne State University. Before joining medical education, she worked as a teacher, counselor, and administrator in the public schools where she developed local and state-wide curriculum and coached adult learners in best instructional practices. Anastasia has been a frequent presenter on a wide range of topics including learner engagement, cultures of thinking, instructional technology, growth mindset, brain-based learning, differentiated instruction, PBL, and facilitation practices.
