Allison Lilly is the Director of the Mass General Brigham’s Employee Assistance Program, serving over 77,000 employees and their family members. Allison is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional having worked in healthcare for over 25 years. Allison responds to workgroups across the Mass General Brigham system impacted by adverse medical events, violent patients, safety concerns of staff or sudden death of hospital staff, as well as other critical events. Allison has attended multiple trainings on critical incidents over the past three decades and now trains other professionals. She published a chapter in the Patient Safety Handbook entitled Supporting Healthcare Providers Impacted by Adverse Medical Events. Recently she co-authored an article, Supporting Caregivers During COVID, in the American Association of Nurse Anesthetist Journal in February 2021. She has been involved in the development of the Peer Support teams at Massachusetts General Hospital and has trained clinicians throughout the Mass General Brigham system.
