Aimee Hoflander

Staff Educator, Children's Mercy Hospital, Kansas City

Aimee Hoflander is the staff educator in the Center for Wellbeing at Children’s Mercy in Kansas City, MO. She has her bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University in Family Studies and Human Services.  She has been at Children’s Mercy for 12 years, she began her career in a patient-focused role in the Child Life department and became the first Facility Dog Program Coordinator at Children’s Mercy.  In January 2022, Aimee made a career shift into the Center for Wellbeing, focusing on the wellbeing of all staff, utilizing mindfulness training and animal-assisted interventions.  Aimee has a unique perspective with knowledge and understanding of the patient and family experience, as well as team member wellbeing at her focus.
