Perri Chinalai

Managing Director, Learning and Engagement Department, StoryCorps

Perri Chinalai is Managing Director of StoryCorps’ Learning and Engagement department. She came to StoryCorps in 2008 after studying Photography and Art History at the Rhode Island School of Design and Media Studies at the New School University. Perri was the founding director of StoryCorps’ Legacy program, which serves people affected by serious illness, and a coordinator for StoryCorps’ Memory Loss Initiative, which served people with Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementia. Perri has also been a longtime hospice volunteer, providing companionship to people in their homes and at Beth Israel Hospital in New York City from 2005-2013.
