Lois A. Carey, PhD, LCSW, Professor Emerita, Molloy College, Department of Social Work received her BSW and MSW from Adelphi University and PhD in Clinical Social Work from NYU. She has taught on the graduate level at Adelphi University School of Social Work and Fordham University School of Social Service. Lois was program director of the Adelphi Rape Counseling Program and the Crime Victims Resource Center; during that time, she developed broad knowledge and clinical expertise while working with those experiencing Post-Traumatic Stress and their significant others experiencing Secondary Trauma. Additionally, Dr. Carey has been in private practice for many years. She is presently Staff Wellbeing Coordinator at Northwell Health Peconic Bay Medical Center, Riverhead, NY.
